At first they ran between the rows of goods and demanded to find a certain product. Later, their behavior became generally characteristic of zombies. The protagonist must try to keep calm and complete all the tasks so as not to lose his job and … survive.

History of Night of the Consumers

The game was originally created by an independent developer. Interestingly, it was created as a project for the itch.io Indie Game Maker Contest 2019. The theme of the contest was “survival in the store”. The author decided to take this topic and create a game that would be dedicated to consumer culture.

He worked on the game alone for several months using the Construct 2 software for development. He also created all of the graphics and sound content himself.

When the game was released on itch.io, it quickly gained popularity due to its original concept and fun game mechanics. Soon after, it was published on other platforms such as Steam and became even more popular.
Today, Night of the Consumers is one of the most well-known independent games that continues to attract new gamers with its unique concept and fun mechanics.
